Body Mass Index (BMI) Tool
To work out your BMI simply:

divide your weight in kilograms (kg) by your height in metres (m)

then divide the answer by your height again to get your BMI
For example:

If you weigh 65kg and you're 1.65m tall, divide 65 by 1.65. The answer is 39.

Then divide 39 by 1.65. The answer is 23.8. This is your BMI.
Classification BMI (KG/M2) Health Consequences
Underweight <18.50 Low
Normal (Healthy) Range 18.50 - 24.99 Average
Overweight 25 25>
Pre-Obese 25 - 29.99 Increased
Obese Class 1 30 - 34.99 Moderate
Obese Class 2 35 - 39.99 Severe
Obese Class 3 40> Very severe
What is a BMI?
